Noobish question time re windows os

i purchased a laptop recently that came with windows 8.1 pre installed i used produkey to find the serial which returned a windows key that was described as a (BIOS OEM KEY) the results were displayed like

internet explorer....same key
windows (bios oem key).....same key
windows 8.1.....same key

all 3 results were the same key. So anyway i upgraded to windows 10 and then proceeded to do a clean install of windows 10 i now have no trace of windows 8.1 on my laptop

i have run produkey again and have the same as above

internet explorer...now windows 10 serial
windows (bios oem key) same as 8.1 result above
windows 10...windows 10 serial

so my question is if i ever went back to windows 8.1 (doubt i will) will my 8.1 key be valid for the installation?

the laptop i purchased was from oc there was no os disc and no serial visisble on the machine.

you have 30 days to roll back to 8.1 from within W10 after this it requires a clean install back to your previous OS.

if you ever want to go back to 8.1 (after your 30 days of upgrading) you can do a clean install with your 8.1 product key which most likely will not be needed as it will be tied to the bios and activated from there during install of 8.1
