Ok so I have a hdd with random bits and bobs on it and no system drive. I want to copy the data onto another harddisk and the install windows on the original one. How would I go about this?

Thanks
Mike

You could download a Bart PE iso, boot up with the cd and use A43 file management (which is integrated into bart) to copy data from one hard drive to another. This way would probably be the easiest method to access your data.

Only problem with that is that i would need to be able to burn CDs - im one of those freaks that only has 1 comp with a cd writer :O(

Any other ideas? (Thanks for the advice so far).

Thanks a lot for the advice! I am heading back home this afternoon to fix my comp. Don't suppose you happen to know if this motherboard
Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Is capable of booting from USB sticks do you?
Thanks
Mike
