No antivirus but OSX comes with a couple of dodgy default settings. You need to check the firewall configuration and I'd also turn off the "open safe files after downloading" option in Safari which just boggles my mind why thats on as default.

Just because you don't need antivirus doesn't mean you shouldn't take security seriously. Always keep the operating system bang up to date, create yourself a non-admin account for day to day use and use strong passwords. :)
