Nooooo! Get out of my monitor!

Thrips, thunderbugs or whatever you want to call them have invaded my 6 month old Samsung SyncMaster 930BF! Their corpses now wedged between the light panel and the TFT litter my desktop!

I've heard that if they can get in there then the panels are justifiably faulty as they're supposed to be sealed. Does anyone have any advice?

I've never separated the light panel from the TFT on a live monitor before so don't relish the thought of doing that but if its the only way to get the little buggers out then does anyone know of any guides on how to do this without damaging the display panel.

I don't have any advice, I'm afraid, but as far as I'm aware LCD panels are not meant to be sealed units. LCD panels generate a lot of heat, thus venting is necessary and a route for these bugs to get in your monitor is created.

i wonder why this hasnt happned to me, i have a 32 inch lcd tv and like a million bugs flying about my room because its sooooooo hot i have to leave the window open all the time
