"Normal" difficulty hard enough ?

does anyone find the default/normal/medium settings in games hard enough?
I see a lot of posts on here about completing games on the hardest settings, a thread not so long ago about being defeated if you HAD to play on anything less than the most difficult level

does anyone feel they've beaten the game just playing on normal settings?

doubt I'll ever finish a game on veteran/world class etc

i often find that if you start the game on hard it's easier to play then playing normal then going to had as your methods wont work, e.g. taking out a bunch of bad guys on normal just run in and kill, on hard you have to take one out at a time then run and hide etc.

good point....i completed batman on ps3 but got it on steam for cheap recently, tried to play it again on hard and was killed within the first few minutes
