Im running a Asus ROG Strix Z690-I, 13900K at stock settings in a custom loop 2x Alpacool ST30 280 rads and a EK monoblock, and getting temps of 98c on stress tests cpu idles around 40c and water temps are below 30c with fans at 1000rpm and never goes over 33c. The monoblock seems to be making good contact as the thermal paste spread seems ok and I also have a Thermalright contact frame installed, temps just seem very high even ramping up fans to 1500rpm no change.

Sounds like the MB is running with an uncapped power limit ( normal for Asus ) , try going to bios and setting Asus Multicore enhancement to Disable :enforce all limits . This will cap the CPU to 253W max , after that look at undervolting it which will get the temps under control without any loss in performance :)

here is a great guide to get you started

But yes they run hot as standard if left up to the mb what to do!

For reference mine is currently : 27 water temp , CPU at idle 35 , while running R23 80 deg will score 40350 undervolted

Thanks will give that a try.. On R23 it hits about 89c and gets 39960.
