I was trying out my SLI setup under 3dmark yesterday and my ASUS PC PROBE II alarm went berserk when my cpu temp rose above 60 celcius. I believe it peaked at 65. my heatsink is properly placed and installed the Idle temps for the Dual Core are around 30 degrees celcius. What is the highst threshold to set the probe?

No I wouldn't use the crap that comes from Intel. I use One I purchased seperately with copper heatpipes around the side and designed for use with Dual Core Intel Cpu's

I have just set things up as standard and no overclocking is used on my part. I have checked the core voltages and since I have to use a new PSU with this MB it could be the burn in process hasn't gone far enough yet. Not many people understand that a processor has avail itself to its environment in order to settle into normal funtionality. But I am carefully monitoring the system so that nothing else can go wrong. I am having to use a BTX PSU because I need the extra 2*12v lines to power the CPU.

I've got it.... I took the heat-sink out and re-seated it and my average temps are 16 degrees normal and 25 degrees under heavy load from cpu test in 3Dmark 06. Thanks for the help and someone to rebound ideas off of. :)
