Don't know if this has been posted, i searched for "korea" but found nothing

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7964364.stm

A bit worrying considering the way people are reacting to it, WW3 anyone?

The japs saying they will shoot it down, america and south korea backing them, surely if north korea went through with it, even as a test, they will get flattened? (please say yes it'll make me happy :p)

I don't see any reason to worry about the way people are reacting to it. What's to worry about?

Well i deem north korea to be incredibly unpreditcable, as well as politicians around the world

The Japanese have said no such thing. They've said that plans were being made to shoot down any rocket that threatens to hit the country.

It goes over japan, they'll be incredibly edgy if it does fire and if they shoot it down NK have already said that if it is shot down it'll provoke war

No, they won't get flattened.

:(

No, they don't want a war. They want a reaction to their threats of war.

Means the same thing to me

Apparently, when the missle flies over Japan it will release something - I think this is why Japan is worried...

What's a booster stage? :p

As its a 3 stage missile i guess it works in the same (sort of) way that a shuttle going into space does, where it seperates parts, first part burns its fuel then drops off etc

note: i have no knowledge of missile technology, purely guessing :p

No, vertical elevation has no bearing.
How did you come to that conclusion?

Perhaps he's thinking that the systems used to take down the missile requires the heat from the burning fuel on it's way up? and when it comes down it is either free falling or burning a lot less fuel?

Nevermind he was thinkign something else :D

Ah ha! This is probably why Japan thinks it could be an attack. Who knows what they could make "fall" off that thing!

Aye, could put the explosive section in a part that is designed to drop off while the missile itself is still going up, though im sure that would cause some problems with weight and such

Why would potentially thousands of deaths make anyone happy? Ask the service personel who fought in the last Korean war if another would make them happy?

Yes that was clearly the intention behind me saying "please say yes" :|

The reason i would prefer them to be flattened was because IF there was a war i would prefer it to be over very fast and not cost more lives because of an evenly fought battle, doesn't really take a lot of brainpower to work out what i meant by that, did everyone else understand?

Or lets just not even have a war, the no deaths and no wasted money! doesnt take a lot of brain power for that either

Brain power that politicians are severly lacking, i have never said "yes lets have a war" or "yes i want them all to die" I have only said that if there is a way i hope its over swiftly, what on earth is wrong with that?

you people are really frustrating sometimes
