Amazing that one single flower grows here, its here every year too. I tryed to show that even though its a wild place something so delicate can grow

That middle photograph of the lone flower offers countless opportunities of various angles and composition. Unfortunately as you've placed the flower at the bottom of the image in the center, it lacks any sort of impact. The colours are striking and go contrast well with the bleak surroundings, but if you get the chance to re-visit, try some close up shots of the flower and perhaps some lower angles too.

Kudos for the thought in to what you wanted to show with the photograph though. Many people would have just thought "flower in the middle of no-where *click*".

i work in great ayton, i hope you went for a pint in my work (the royal oak), unfortunately, i've been off all weeked coz i got flu :(

To be honest though, i don't think you've taken the best advantage of your work area, there's a lot of oppertunity yound this are, roseberry topping would have been a good viewpoint. Even GreatAyton and little ayton have fantastic photographic potentil, i just haven't exploited it yet.

Do you know, Joe Cornish (see next weeks amateur photography), renowned landscape photographer, is one of my bosses best friends, though i've yet to meet him.

Joe Cornish is very very good. :)

i agree, he uses a home made camera (afaik), the ebony 45 (5x4 format) wooden box camera, most of his images are taken local to me, north yorks moors, north yorkshire coast and his gallery is in stokesley. I recommend buying this weeks amateur photography, theres a article in it.

i like number 2, the composition works well with the monument in the middle but in the last one of it i think that it doesn't deliver the impact with the monument on the right. good though :)
