It should be possible to adjust it so that it's sufficiently off-centre on the NB core to clear an AC7P. Certainly worth a try as the standard DS3/S3 NB heatsink isn't great.
I have one of the Zalman's on my old NF7 board, its superb. The Noctua is also suppose to be quite a performer I have one waiting on my shelf to be installed soon.
It'll fit all right but IME the AC7 doesn't blow enough air over it to cool it properly. It works well in combination with something like a Zalman 7700 as that puffs air out all round.
My bro did the review on the Noctua CPU fan and he swears by them. I think I might give them a crack - hopefully there is enough headroom with my Zalman 9500 CPU cooler.
