Have to do a trip to Northumberland tomorrow for meeting a new client at work

Client has confirmed meeting is going ahead still so as I'm Birmingham based, wondered what the roads are like up north from anyone in the area to see if I drive or get the train?

Cheers in advance

No problems up here, road network is fine. We're hardened northerners you know, a bit of snow doesn't stop us!

For future references the best way to answer this sort of question is just to take a look at the Highways Agency traffic camera feed - http://www.trafficengland.com

Then you can see for yourself exactly what the roads are like.

There've been a lot of people breaking down at rush hour or driving into each other ... plan for that (A1 down to 1 lane for example)

Nope. Still there.

Obviously, lol. What a pain in the backside though.

I'll bring you some snacks if you need them, it's only up the road from me.

I used to drive across that bridge no bother, wouldn't chance it now although many do. Used to be able to manage some quite ridiculous speeds across it too in my younger days!
