Hi All,
Is Norton 360 any good, whats your views on it..

Im currently useing windows firewall and Kaspersky Virus 6.0.

Would it be much of an inprovement,im not interested in all the other crap you get on the norton disk, just a general firewall and virus upgrade.

Thanks
All

Couldnt honestly tell you what 360 is like, but going on past performance (or lack of performance) of Norton products, I would stick with what you have.

It's crap. Was up staying with the parents the other week and my step-dad has it. It has some nice features but there's no customisation on those features - you can't have it only do certain things and turn off others, it's either all on, or all off. My mum said the auto backup feature is annoying because it tries to back up to her USB stick if she leaves it plugged in, and it adds a massive toolbar to IE7.

It seems a bit less intrusive than regular Norton, and it didn't seem quite as slow. It did, however, manage to screw up on my Mum's new Vista PC. It wouldn't open properly and wouldn't uninstall. Had to use the Symantec Removal Tool, after which it wouldn't re-install.

So yeah, it's getting better, but that's not saying much.
