I have Norton Ghost 10 and i want to create a recovery disk that i can boot from to recover my pc back to the time of creation of the disc. I want to backup bout 11gb of data. Im not sure how to do this, do i have to create an image onto my hard drive and then burn onto DVD with nero or something? I will need it to compress the data so it fits onto the dvd.

This is for backup purposes.

can anyone direct me to a guide or tell me how to do this?

Thanks in advance,

install it and give it a go, you'll see on screen how to do it, and it probably has a help file if you're stuck

chances are, the 11gb might compress small enough to fit on one disc, if not, it'll just ask you to put in another disc.. (keep them safe!)

i dont have ghost anymore, used it in work a while ago (was ghost 9), try looking through the menu's for 'bootable cd/dvd' backup or something like that

when you click the normal backup button, does it ask you where you want to save to (does it let you select dvdrw?)

it'll auto compress then i guess..

i'd use some dvdrw disc so you can test it out

it'll appear as one massive file on each disc (you won't be able to browse the discs like you would a normal dvd to get your individual files off)
