Norton Ghost

Decided it would be a good idea to make a Restore PC for a mates new PC im building but I dont remember how it works.

Lets say his current XP install is completely trashed and he wants to go back to original with the Restore disks.

Will he need to format his hard disk first or will Ghost automaticly do this when it restores the C: drive from the images?

No formatting needed I believe. Ghost does all that for you. Just stick the disc in and run Ghost and the image will be unpacked for you.

No, Just copy the image back the disk/partition in ghost and it'll be sorted.
