My Norton Internet Security 2005 subscription ran out 2 months or so ago so I went and bought the newer version Norton Internet Security 2006 so I had a new subscription.

I have been noticing how I have been recieving Virus Protection Updates almost every night.

On Norton Internet Security 2005 I did not get Virus Protection Updates almost every night.

So for the users of NIS 2006 - Do you also get Virus Protection Updates almost every night?

Getting regular updates of virus definitions is a good thing, surely.

I use AVast and that updates every couple of hours, sometimes there are new definitions and sometomes there aren't.
 
Well If you are getting the updates that regulary, I can only assume everybody else who has it will be doing also :)
I use Kaspersky and get updates everyday more or less. However small or large they maybe :)
 
I Have NIS 2006 running on one system, which is set for updates to be done at night.

Have no idea if it is daily but as said above, it can't be a bad thing.
 
NIS 2005 only updates once a week, the new NIS 2006 updates daily, they use a different version of Live Update and this is the difference between the two.

Yes mine are also at night, never in the day!
