Norton Internet Security or...

Got Norton Internet Security free with my PC, so, for lack of anything else, used that for my Anti virus/spyware, and firewall. Now, I've just decided to switch from an ATi card to an nVidia, so at the same time I'm going to do a format.

Should I use this opportunity to rid myself of Norton (bearing in mind I'm still signed up for another year)? If you think I should what other software should I acquire? I hear the Windows SP2 Firewall is great (I also have a Netgear router, which has a hardware firewall I guess), so I'll stick with that, and I already use Spybot S&D. So what anti-virus should I go for? Must involve no cost however.

Any other considerations?

Thanks in advance.

Avast or AVG Free if you don't want to pay or NOD32 if you don't mind forking out some cash. Anything but Norton TBH.

sound advice :)

also, install spyware blaster, it'll block a load of spyware before it gets onto your pc -works the same way spybot's immunize feature does
