Our PC's are protected with this and our subscription had a few days remaining so I duly purchased a new disc ready to install it but something strange has happened.
For some reason our subscription has been renewed on all the PC's and they now show 365 days remaining.
I have made no payments to Symantec online and have no card details stored with them either. I cant figure out how my subscription got renewed and wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them.

Thanks.

Desperate to give it away for free.

Quoted for truth

NIS is a horrible product; the amount of memory, CPU and IO operations it uses is ridiculous. It is a nightmare to remove even with the Norton removal tool, parts still remain on your system.

Noticed the CPU and memory "monitor" in recent version only monitor the main NIS executable and DLL files when in actual fact it does indeed use more CPU and memory than it reports.

Wouldn't use it for free, recommend you look at AVG or MSE if you wish to have something less intrusive and a system hog. If you are happy with it however and continue to use it then have at it hoss. ;)

I do remember sometimes they bill when it renews if you have a subscription on card? You could also log in to Symantec and check your sub? They still set them to auto-renew I believe.

Just checked my Norton Account and automatic renewal is set to OFF so I doubt I will get a bill in the post. Surely they would just not do such a thing and if they did I would not pay it as I have not authorized them to renew it.
