GOD I LOVED THOSE DAYS, i wish i could turn back time and go back to the days of delta force 1 and 3.

I remember upgrading my PC from onboard intel 82810 graphics to a "TNT2 32mb" PCI card, it was epic!

Any fellow delta force players over the years from those games happen to be here? I never really played the second one as, although they were all PACKED with cheaters, the second one seemed more riddled than the others.

My first ever experience of clan gaming was in land warrior too in -=BAF=- (British armed forces) followed by -=PTH=- (pathfinders) anyone remember them?

I'm definitely reinstalling all these games soon and having a little fun replay though.

Very first mission on DF1 single player brings back some memories!

By the time i stopped playing BHD i was getting a 50-75% headshot average per game.

Loved it, but a few months after i quit playing i found out loads of people i'd played with in the past had been using cheats, beacuse they were practically undetectable in that game :( (i laugh in the face of a no recoil cheater on delta force though, there's practicaly none anyway!)

I remember playing DF 1 and DF 2, they were also my first lan games I used to play in work on night shift! I also remember spending many hours in the R6 games, until they released the horrid shooter that caused the series to freefall. The only other games that reach the same tactical suspense are SWAT 4 and Armed Assault series. I didn't enjoy DF:BHD as Operation Flashpoint was already out and was far better in every degree.
I also enjoyed BF2, but with the exception of base rapers and bunny-hoppers. BF:BC2 is much more epic than original BF2, but still plagued with bunny-hoppers nd base raping choppers.

ahhhh operation flashpoint, i played the demo of the original so many times over, getting shot from an enemy you could barely see was amazing.

I remember playing the single player on one level where i had to run through the woods, i was being shot at from behind while trying to get out of the woods, a proper feeling of suspense in that game that no other has ever given me! Very realistic ...... apart from the graphics.

Operation Flashpoint killed my pc when it came out. I didn't have enough ram to play it properly. It was the first game where not having enough RAM became an issue in running a game for my PC lol.

I was playing it on a celeron 900mhz, 256mb ram, geforce 4 mx 440 graphics ard :D Those were the days haha (probably around the time i upgraded to an athlon xp 1800 actually)

really not. BF just has better gfx. but JO has more mature type of players, (too many idiots in BF, also always fight to get the heli), you could play huge maps with up to 150 players - EPIC

It was good when it started i agree, when the servers had 150 people on that was fairly eic, but the gameplay itself wasn't as gripping and the vehicles were far too buggy.

The idea was fantastic, the implementation though not so fantastic. I'd like to see them do it again with todays technology though!

Shame that I am so young. I've missed out a really good generation of games :(

My first FPS was I think Medal of Honour (PS1) and Golden Eye (N64). Then it was Time Splitters < That was an epic game.

I played delta force after goldeneye and time splitters :p (or do youmean you missed a good generation of PC gaming rather than gaming in general?)

Man i LOVED time splitters!

You won an N64  that must have been the best day ever!

EDIT: looking at your current age, you must have been like 6 or 7 then? something like that? That's like winning the lottery to an 7 year old!

Are you sure this isnt rose tinted spectacles?

I mean I can still enjoy MOHAA, COD 1, UT99 today...but those games look shocking!

Indeed they do, but the looks weren't everything, they were pretty bad even for there time :p

I can't really put my finger on what it was about them but they had something which kept people playing, it was fantastic :D
