Not a relationship thread (really) - opinions please!

A friend of mine has liked a girl for a while and last night made the step from friends to something more...

Anyway, we're supposed to be going to stay with her tonight then off out tomorrow. In light of the fact that they're no longer just friends, I really don't fancy going!

He tells me that I'm more than welcome and not to be daft but the thought of coming between them in any way just doesn't appeal to me.

Would you do the same?

Depends how good friends they were

Although at the start of a relationship, honeymoon period and all... I would probably rearrange to give them a bit of time alone togather

I'm not sure what you mean by "how good friends they were"?

Yep, honeymoon period - exactly my thoughts. Also, she's moving back to her parent's for 3 weeks (after the weekend) which means they're probably not going to be seeing each other!

How close you are with each other them, not them with each other!

If they are very good mates then don't let this change anything but that being said, personally I'd give them a bit of space this time and rearrange for a couple of weeks time.

Well, your mate is obviously ok about it, it's how she is going to be that you have to think about.

All depends on them, some people would understand the awkwardness of the situation and make sure they kept everything low key while you were around while other people wouldn't think twice about kissing eachothers facees off while you sit quietly in the corner pretending you havn't noticed.

Tell your mate you don't want to feel like a 5th wheel and try and come up with a plan where by you can give them a bit of time on their own at some point.

Whats the worst that can happen...
