I have two SSD's on my eee 901 PC.

One 4gb, the other 16gb. I want to install XP on the 16gb but everytime I go through XP setup and get to the partition screen I click on the 16gb drive and Windows says this isn't a compaitable XP partition after I create it?

Yet I can click on the 4gb, create a partition and install xp fine?

I used kill disc to erase the 16gb partition.

Any ideas?

Thanks

AFAIK you cannot. I tried on a EEE900 and it wouldn't boot from the 16gb when I ghosted the 4GB partition across (you cannot set it active)

One has to ask why you need more than 4GB for windows. I put a copy of XP MCE and it fitted. As MCE was a dog with the on board IGP I when back and used nlite to incorporate SP3 (saved 500mb over separate install) and to remove MCE and other bits. Even with Office 2K and other programs it still is less than 2GB.

Also the 4GB SSD is faster.
