not all 600pointers are good

Half way through one of these - taking double the time of a 2409 or 2414 (on same machine)

Project : 2408
Core : Gromacs
Frames : 100
Credit : 600

Avg. Time / Frame : 1h 01mn 16s - 141.02 ppd (@50% on P4 3.0)

P4s don't really get on with 600 pointers like other CPUs - especially at 50%.

The only thing my old P4 excelled at were the QMDs (RIP

).

stan you missed the point - 2409 or 2414 get 280-300ppd's at 50% with HT on. It's only this one that does........

was compairing my Oc'ed 805 benchmark with these P4's (can't download new projects here at work so some reason :confused:

)

should have been 175ppd @50% on a 2409
and it's now 180ppd on this 2408

Sorry fokes, feel a bit stupid now........

Edit: some one could have told me their benchies disagree.... :rolleyes:
