Not all my ram shows up in xp.

Hey guys, just got a new laptop and only 1.8gb of the 2gb shows up in vista, any way to sort this out or should i just forget it.

Do you have onboard graphics?

Mine varies between 1.8 and 1.9GB depending on what i have the shared graphics memory set to in the bios.

I'm fairly sure it's the shared memory to the graphics.
However, if your system needs the RAM that is being shared, the Operating System will allocate it away from the graphics. So don't worry, you aren't losing out.
