not allowing me to extend onto my second monitor

As some of you may know i upgraded my Q6600 to a 2500k and with that I got a new mobo and ram.

Had some problems getting it all working but it sorted now, everything is working perfectly! until i attempted to extend to my second monitor. The computer knows its there, drivers are installed for them both, i am duplicate my main screen onto the second and even group them, i just cannot extend too it.

May I ask what graphics card you are running?

Have you tryed in nvidia control panel or ATI catalyst control center ?

ati 4770.

CCC gives me the option to extend but when you press it, it does nothing.
