Hi,

I wanting to build a new pc as my old one is running slow and painful. Mainly for media use, general internet use, and a couple of games (The Sims, Football Manager etc).

I don't really want to spend more than £500, and I need everything apart from Monitor, keyboard and mouse. Ideally I would want it to be a smallish case as I think they look neater.

Is it worth buying Vista or running the beta version of Windows 7 until that is fully released?

I stole this from another spec thread, will this be ok?

There are loads of remotes around, either bluetooth or with a USB reciever. Dead easy to set up, although finding one you like can be a pain.

They work great with most media centre software and often double up as a mouse if necessary :-)

Thanks guys, looks like I am going to have to wait another month or so before I proceed with the purchase now, but thanks for your help
