Hi guys. Sorry to be like everyone else with the Spec me threads but im way out of date with all the new products. Anyways, im looking for a PC that will run majority of games at high (hopefully) and also be good and fast for Photo editing. (light room, photoshop etc)

I would like to use a Antec P182 mainly because of how tidy you can get the inside. My budget is around £500-£700. Dont need, speakers, monitor etc. Just base. Im a Nvidia fanboy but i dont mind giving ATI a go ;)

Thanks

How about this? Slightly over budget though.

If it was me i'd knock the CPU down to q6600 or Q8200 (if you want the yorkfield core) and change the GPU to a a 4870!!! that baby would fly

Oh yeh, good suggestion edward. Swap the processor for one of these 2 and get the 4870.

why pay 40 pounds more for a Q8200, when the Q6600 is better?

Hi Crossy, if you have any questions with regards to the hardware components I have chosen, feel free to ask. It’s slightly over budget and if you are not willing to go over £700 feel free to say and I’ll modify the specification for you.

One thing I will mention is with regards to the memory. For a system to be able to address 4GB of memory, you will need to be using a fully functional 64-bit system. In other words, you will have to be using a 64-bit operating system. If you are only using a 32-bit operating system, then the amount of memory that will be addressed by the system will be in the region of 3GB, give or take. :)
