Not been that ill for a while

Norovirus has just screwed me over. I was fine yesterday then at about 11pm it was like a switch was flipped and I went all Team America and I've been projectile vomiting since.

I've never felt this bad before. I thought people were exaggerating when I heard them mention this winter virus.

Mild case of cheese?

Try getting the flu as soon as you finish work

This takes 4 days to pass.

Then as Xmas comes around you gET the norovirus and spend most of the Xmas meal asleep in your chair.

My wife and I had this together. It's been a terrible Xmas this yer due to illness.

Ugh... I got hit around 10.30pm xmas eve. Spend the whole night pooing basically water, which continued throughout xmas day. No dinner, no drink... nothing but misery for me and therefore my family. Worst xmas ever

Not sure if it was Noro, as I wasn't sick, although I came very close and felt simply awful for over 24 hours.

Oh well there is always next year

To be fair the OP Cheddar checked.

Still, at least you had time whilst sitting on the loo to listing to your new R & Brie CD you got for Christmas.

Hope you're feeling better now though OP!!!

I am all better now - but it was a piece of inspired planning to have the basin so close to the loo. Who says men can't multi-task ?

You don't need to be sick, my brother got it from oysters and was showing classic symptoms (non stop vomiting a few hours after eating them). I ate the same oysters but was fine, until early the next morning when I rushed for the loo and spent the rest of the day either on the loo or in bed feeling like death.

Hits different people in different ways I guess.

On a more serious note, I thought most cheeses were fairly low (to non existent in some cases) in Lactose.

From a quick Google, Brie seems to be Zero-2% so shouldn't really be an issue for lactose intolerance, especially if you only had a small amount.

Are you sure the problem wasn't something else??

Hard cheeses are no real problem for me. I can have loads of Parmesan ! But even a tiny bit of a creamy cheese (Brie, Camembert etc) sets me right off. As does cream and milk itself.
