Hey,

So I decided to finally clean out my PC a bit today and also change my 2 X 1gb sticks of RAM to dual channel - they were right next to each other before.

So did all this, tried to switch them round when tower was upright.. didn't work too well.. they would go in but i could easily pull them out.. they seemed in the right position - and as before I moved one of them.

Booted.. did its usual, power up 5 secs, reboot then it powered up but the CPU fan just went on and on highish power settings (does this ususally but only for a few seconds) with nothing on the screen.

So I unplugged everything, laid the case down and tried to reseat the ram properly.. did that and I still get the same result. Pretty sure it was seated correctly.

Any ideas? My specs in my sig.

no one? :(

I've done some reading, could it be my overclock on my q6600 (at 3ghz) that is the problem? I remember I changed something on the ram in the bios before hand..
