Hey,
So I've had my computer for a few years now, and everything has been fine.
I recently ran memtest, and it through an error, took the sticks out to see which one it was. After I found which one it was, I put the other 3 back in, however now it won't boot.
Apparently if there is ram in either of the right slots, its not booting, I've tried this in all configurations. I've even tried putting all sticks of RAM back in to no avail.
I've got a P5K, and 3*1GB DDR2 RAM. (was 4*1...)
Anyone got any ideas why it would suddenly stop working?
As a side note, I saw that GEIL memory has a lifetime warranty. I bought the RAM 1st October 2008, 3 years ago. Is there any chance of RMAing it? (It fails on test 2 of Memtest no matter what I do). "GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit" was it's title at the time.
Any help would be awesome!
Thanks,
Mike
