Not Compatible PSU and M/Board ?

Hi, I have a not so modern Abit AV8 M/Board 939, and I recently bought a new PSU because the old Hiper 520w only had 20amp on the 12v rail, and my x1950pro has frozen a few times ( AGP )
The new PSU is a OCZ StealthXSream 600w on sale here at Overclockers.
After installing it beeps 1 Long 3 Short and then switches off ( Award Bios )
Have I bought an incompatible PSU ?
Your help would greatfully accepted.

If AwardBIOS is giving you one long and three short beeps, you've either got a duff video card or it isn't seated properly.

Ive got another ATI AGP card lying around somewhere, I will dig it out and try that. Cheers.
