Not connected

Windows 7
Plugged in via Ethernet
Wireless connection
Sky Hub
Laptop

Tested internet using iPhone and wifi works fine, the laptop says not connected using ethernet or wifi.

TRIED SO FAR:
Auto IP
Auto connection speed (Tried various)
Disabled AVAST
Disabled Windows Firewall
Booted in Safemode with networking

I just don't understand why its not connecting and I am on the verge of reinstalling windows but there must be a solution!?

what IP address are you getting? Tried rebooting router? Latest drivers for both wireless and wifi? Tried a malware/virusscan/checkdisk?

No IP or any details in the details tab in local area connection

Yes reset router, I believe its a laptop based problem, as Iphone works fine using routers wifi.

Couldn't update the drivers for either Wifi or Ethernet as I couldn't get on the net, will download them onto a USB stick and try installing.

Not done a virus check, will run AVAST and see.

need to check to see if some malware/spyware has changed the network settings too.

Try a manual IP and see if that works.

Is IPv4 still ticked in network settings?
