Not connecting to vm Internet, tv and phone ok

Ok so I've been on vm for 5 days, currently on then 50mbit package. This afternoon the wan connection went down, with the far left light blinking blue and all others a solid colour. Unable to get an Internet connection at all. Rang vm but can't get an enginner out until Thursday, which for a 5 day old connection I'm not happy about, but not much I can do. So anyways, is there anything I can try to get a connection back. I've done the usual reset/reboot but I'm stumped. Unable to do my uni work or cisco revision, so I'm not happy on that note too. Any help please

Checked the cable wire that goes into the modem? Also, have you checked the box where the cable comes out from on your wall? All secure etc?

did you try disabling and enabling the network card? plugging directly into PC instead of router (if you have one) btw do you have the DIR-615 ?

was meant to update last night, but was buys

everything was secured into their fittings etc, we got a text from virgin saying that they found a fault and it would be fixed within 8 hours, 16 hours later it is fixed

and yes i have the 615
