Not displaying correctly in Firefox

So, that's my incomplete website atm. It's based on a heavily modified template which uses CSS, and it doesn't display properly in Firefox, only in IE. Even the original template, it seems, doesn't display properly in Firefox, and I don't actually know any CSS, so I'm stumped. Is there any way to fix it? I've been using a WYSIWYG editor, and haven't been playing with the code, so it's all a bit beyond me.

I'm not looking to put too much effort into this, seeing as its more of a placeholder design than anything else, just until I can find the time to sit down and design one from scratch, and maybe learn some programming. If it can be done, then great, but if it's going to take a lot of work, I'll junk this template and start again. And I know there are some redundant links on the page, I'll get rid of them later.

The CSS source can be found here - http://www.steventhomson.co.uk/images/BrightSide.css

(the template was called Bright Side, hence the URL)

I've also just this minute noticed that clicking the XHTML and CSS buttons at the bottom of the site throws up a whole host of errors (such as 'no style sheet present' in Firefox) but, as I said, I don't understand the language used, so I can't fix them.

Can anyone help? :(

Thanks

You sure you have linked your css file right as its just displaying in Plain HTML...e.g no styles at all

One of the errors in the HTML seems to be to do with the CSS file (the third one down on the 'Validate XHTML' link) but I'm not sure how to fix it, and the page works perfectly in IE, so why doesn't Firefox understand it?

My web design student friend, who I've been bugging about this for at least a week, has finally taken a look at it, and seems to have basically fixed it. It's not displaying as it should, yet, but it's formatting correctly. The top bit is black rather than white, but that can wait. :o

:edit:

The poster above me has obviously seen it since its fixing. Apparently, my friend has copied the .css document's contents into the index.html file, sidestepping the CSS issues and pretty much fixing it.

You're probably going to have to split your header into two too get the top bit white but to keep the links bar black!
