Not displaying native resolution

Just got an 8800GTS as a temp gfx card and i just installed the drivers and now it wont show in my monitors native resolution which is 1440 x 900 on my Samsung Syncmaster 920 NW 19 inch wide screen monitor.

Ive reinstalled graphics drivers many times.
done it in safe mode aswell.
installed monitor drivers..
tried customer resolution in nvidia control pannel

any idea guys??

Drivers from the disk it came with or the newest drivers from the website? The newest ones usually detect the native and set it automatically for you.

ive used the latest ones on the website.. and yes they are the correct ones

that didnt work either... ive gone to previous drivers and still nothing!
