hi and merry xmas to all of you .

ive had a ps3 for xmas and when i try to load ratchet & clank it says i need to make room on my hdd . there must be plenty of space cos ive just had it today .
any ideas
cheers

there was a problem with ratchet & clank when it was first released. if I remember correctly the game code doesn't detect the HHD space properly. it was something along the lines of if you had 34.6gb left (or anything ending in .6) it didn't see all the available space. the advise we had to give out at work was to delete or download some stuff to get you out of the error zone & then the game will install correctly. Once you have the game installed it will always work fine.

Thats it as I remember it but I have had a few drinks, so its probably not explained very well. Give google a try

EDIT, here we go, linky for you http://www.geek.com/articles/games/ratchet-clank-future-has-install-problems-20071025/

No probs, glad you got it sorted

Only reason I knew about that was because I work in a games shop, we had loads of problems when the game came out

can you put any old hdd in and is it easy

cheers

SATA or SATAII 2.5inch (laptop drive). Preferably 5400rpm. 7200rpm will also work but the ones in PS3 are 5400rpm so it is best to stick to that speed.

Very easy to upgrade, cannot be bothered with exact specifics as there is loads of threads on this if you search.

Youtube it, but I think theres a vid link in the PS3 sticky - it takes a couple of minutes - the screws are the hardest things to do...
