So, I'm running 2 768mb msi gtx460s in sli with my 24inch dell @1920x1200, but have noticed when I'm playing Stalker my gfx memory usage is totally maxxed out which is affecting gameplay.

I plan on going to 3 24inch screens for nvidia surround but I doubt my lowly 768mb cards will be able to support this at comfortable frame rates.

Any thoughts? Should I sell my sli setup and go for something with more memory? Wait untill the 560s come out? Or sell my sli setup and go to ATi with only one card required for 3 monitors.

If you want to add anti aliasing at high levels to the Nvidia Surround resolution you will be playing at you will ideally want a 580 because of the 1.5gb vram though if you are only adding like 4x i do not see how 2x1024mb 560s would not cope or a single 570 even.(which have 1280mb)

580? even more money. Joy. :( Tempted to buy the 2 extra 24s today just to see how bad it runs. What about a 2gb 460?

i remember my huge argument with bigwayne about those cards might look as good as the 1024mb versions in benchmarks but in games that use over 768mb of memory it will be horrible.

he swore blind i was lieng came out with his 1million pages of charts , diagrams etc proving me wrong so i just gave up and let him win his stupid argumenty.

So, the gtx 560 doesn't look as good as I'd hoped, moving towards a crossfire 6950 now, but....

Would a single 5970 be good enough for 3x1920x1080 if I got one cheap enough? Would be watercooling and overclocking whatever card I got, so it would be cheaper to buy one waterblock than two!
