Is it possible that my cpu a Hiper 580w can not run my rig properly especialy as now I am running a Titan Amanda where the TEC is always on.
I find when I boot it up the front 120 mm fan and the gfx fan can not straight away. All the other components starts up then they kick in.
Im finding that if I increase the voltage on my ram to get it to run at its rated speed , the pc just crashes or freezes. Could those extra few volts be the straw that breaks the camels back?
What do you think??

Quite possibly.

Combine that with the fact the Hyper's can sometimes go boom and you wonder if it's worth frying a quad for!

As a comparison i had an amanda, e6600 @ 3.4ghz, 8800GTX @ stock, 3x hdd's and 4gb ram all running off a 2 year old tagan 2force 580 watt psu with no problems.

I'd consider something like a corsair 620 or midrange enermax (around 700 watts).

So that extra 40w on the corsair will make all the difference?
I assume its good for its money then, currently selling at £103 i believe.

Yeah, they're supposed to be very quiet and very stable.

I believe they've been used in high powered 8800GTX SLi setups at PC shows to prove how capable they are.

That Hiper only has 360w on the 12v rail so it could well be struggling. Don't judge the Hiper on it's 580w claimed output either as they are unable to output that much anyway. They are also extremely innefficient (less than 70%). Couple all that with the fact that they go boom very frequently and it's as good a case as any for getting a new decent psu. The Corsair HX620 is very efficient and stable and is a quality psu made by Seasonic for Corsair but to a higher standard. I certainly would'nt pay what they are asking on here though.
