Not finishing games

I can only complete games if they are around 10 hours long, otherwise I get bored and give up. I've completed 18 of my 226 steam games :p
 
I buy a game on release only if I know what it's about and what the gameplay is like. If I've never heard of it I'de look up some vids and reviews before buying.
This prevents me from being disappointed and wasting my wonga.
 
Since coming back to PC gaming (Jan this year) most games iv brought 20+ iv not completed as yet due to having a new girlfriend and iv also Pre ordered Borderlands 2 and F1 2012 out next week..I need more hours in the day lol
 
I used to have said problem, But now I start a game and I wont play anything else untill I complete it or buy any new games I want, Good thing is by the time I get to complete the game I'm playing any new games I want to play might be in a Steam sale.
 
Yeh I really need to get some sort of system in place.

I might start trying to do as suggested, not buy any new games until I've finished the one I have! Might make my wallet like me a bit more.
 
My plan didnt work. I almost immediately went to buy a copy of Sleeping Dogs from the MM.

I failed.
