Not getting expected FPS on Overwatch

Hi all,

Just got Overwatch last week and thought I'd try it out on EPIC settings using my 980Ti and Acer XB271HU, 1440p/144Hz/Gsync for anyone wondering.

All is well apart from the fact I'm not getting my expected performance?

I would get around 90-100fps on Ultra and straight down to 30-40fps on Epic, now after reading a bit, this should not be the correct figures.

I should be getting solid 144 on Ultra and double what I'm getting currently on Epic.

I currently have my GPU OCd to +245/+400 which is stable.

Looking at Afterburner and GPU-z it's showing Core reading a 595Mhz instead.

I'm currently on driver 368.69 due to reported problems with newer drivers breaking Gsync.

My in-game settings are FPS limiter set to custom(300) and V-Sync set to Off.
My NVCP Global settings are Gsync on and Vsync On?

Can anyone with similar setup who have a copy of the game please try out the settings above and confirm my doubts/delusion?

I've found the cause of the issue, kind of?

Everytime I start Overwatch I would get an error message stating "Your rendering device has been lost" which seems to revert the Core clocks to 595Mhz.

When I restart Overwatch everything works well but any 3D application will be stuck with the GPU only using 595Mhz Core clock.

Now I just need to find a solution to the following error message.

wats ur cpu clock speed
blizzards cpu optimisation is pretty meh, especially for quad cores

There's an Epic setting?

Ultra settings with 122% resolution scaling at 3440 x 1440 I get locked 100fps on my X34a

That was the automatic setting. I have (Maxwell) Titan X SLI

OK found the issue.
Something to do with my GPU overclock.
Reverted back to stock and all working fine.
Doesn't seem like blizzard games are fond of GPU overclock as it's been stable on everything else.

Good spot. Overwatch is sometimes also not fond of standard RAM overclocks (2133/2400MHz DDR3). Fixed an Overwatch crash issue for a friend by resetting RAM to stock, after trying other stuff that didn't work. XMP RAM speed was fine for everything else. Finicky.
