Not Getting On Well With TFTs HELP PLEASE :)

iv tried a belinea 22" widescreen and a dell 2407 (A04)

image on the dell is far better but i prefer my old crt

both tfts display a somewhat blurred image
(yes clear type is on)
the background appears somewhat patchy

perhaps its my pc
perhaps its my eyes
or perhaps they are just too big to focus on and exaggerate the problem unlike my 14" laptop


iv tried both tfts on a couple of pcs and laptops with the dell via dvi and analogue


the only thing that springs to mind as the cause is too poor a graphics card
i have a 128MB leadtek 6800 LE graphics card


and the following pc
amd xp2500m cpu
abit nf7
2x512 geil value....


please help

Something doesn't sound right there because TFTs are generally better at displaying sharper text than CRTs.

The 6800 should hadle that res fine althought there is the possibillty of a problem with the card but I doubt it.

What revision is the 2407? Do you have it set to desktop mode? I'm sure you've got it set to 1920x1200. Have you run the nvidia optimisation wizard? Perhaps play with some of the other settings, brightness, colours etc.

Try it with the VGA cable if thats a possibility?

have done the optimisation wizard

the screen just looks patchy the same way as the belinea did

although i have tried the belinea on 4 different pcs and it looks patchy on them all

will try it through the vga lead later thx
