Just phoned up to change my account from an xbox live gold to silver account, first they had outsouced support, it took me four attempts for the woman just to spell "Gareth"! let alone my second name, when i finally got past that bit she kept asking why i wanted to change my account, then when we finally got past that i was told that if i want to go down to silver, i have to cancel my gold acccount and i loose my live tag and everything with it, all acheivements anything ive purchased the lot, am i right in thinking thats a bit out of order that if i didnt want to continue live gold i would have to start all over again from scratch, you would have thought they would have been able to simply downgrade the package and it restricts a few items, ok morning rant over
 
Just noticed OcUK sell xbox360 stuff, no memberships tho.

Not very competitive prices tho :(

A while ago it was possible to buy PGR2 for the old Xbox bundled with a years live subs for about £25.
The live code works for Xbox or 360 on live.

I believe that some places are still doing these deals.
 
A couple of months ago I bought a Pro Evo 5 box set with a years live subscription and a new headset for about 20 quid. It was a bargain! Have a look around mate!

thinks back to the Halo 2 live pack that was going for £16 :eek: lol needless to say they didn't last long

i managed to pick an original xbox one up from US auction for £13 inc :D

Ok I've got a 12 month card but 10 months remaining on my sub. Can I just add the additional 12 months now or do I have to wait until renewal time?

The reason that I ask is last time I forgot and I had to pay full whack. Well I say I, live was originally set up on my mums credit card... which she no longer uses regularly. In short a real pain in the goolies.

Plus I'm likely to lose the thing in the next 10 months :o
 
afaik it just keeps adding it on the end with every card you use, so if you had 5 cards and entered them all in one go, you'd end up with 5 years worth of Live! :D

I was going to go for the chapest deal I know of where you can get a years gold for £14, but I didn't want to wait the long delivery time as my gold is about to expire.

If I use a credit card to renew it, does that mean it will always use that method. I can't cancel the billing if I wanted to use a prepaid card instead in future?
