Not outputting Reds?

Not sure if its a problem with the Xbox, or a problem with the fairly cheap HDMI > DVI cable i bought, but recently, my xbox had stopped outputting reds very well, if at all. the B button on screen is shown as black etc, and everything is generally wrong in lighting and colouring due to the lack of red.

I will check it with component cables at some point later today to see if it is the xbox or cables, just wondered if anyone else has similar problems? Its not my monitor either as the reds are fine on the PC. Both the PC and Xbox use the single DVI input.

Component cable or adapter then. If you unplug just the red component cable see if it makes any difference. My guess is it won't.

Just tried with component cables. works fine. Guess my HDMI>DVI cable has gone to pot. Sorry for wasting ya time!

Oh sorry I read your post wrong. I thought you were using the component cable. Because with my TV if I unplug the red component cable I loose the reds and any colours which are made up of reds.

Yeah it could be your cable I guess seeing as component works fine.
