all riged up wont post. tired one stick of ram in each slot. Had a problem with one of the led connectors. Left for a while seems to have gone. Back to it.

Do i need to get some lower ddr2 ram boot up and change the ram voltage?
then put the gskill back in?

you mentioned in the other thread somthing had burned prehaps can you take a pic to see what the damage is this is almost definetly your problem.

Just so as know, put my GShill HZ and booted fine so know it's not a memory volt issue.

Hope get sorted.

What do you mean when you say "Had a problem with one of the led connectors"?

Also, do you have any USB hubs connected to it? I had a problem with this board when it had a USB hub, which was plugged into the mains, connected to it. The USB hub was feeding power back to the computer and stopped it from booting! Even with the power supply unplugged, the LED on the motherboard would stay lit.

I switched to a gigabyte DS4 board and that booted fine with the hub connected

update.
Tried board with generic ram. samsung pc4200 no post.
Changed to a 4meg pci gfx card still no post.
Send back the mobo?
also pics of the marks on the mobo pins..

Any ideas guys? i rang ocuk this morning they suggested to try differnt i ram and pci. Still no luck. Looks like a RMA.

Why do things end up like this? nothing goes to plan :(

Well just to put your chin up slightly, I have had 2 duff Motherboards out of the last 5 in the past 1 x Abit A8V(skt 939) 1 x Asus A8N-SLI Premium (skt 939) if I was you & judging from what you have wrote & through past experiance I would RMA the motherboard.

Always double check the instructions on installing your hardware, maybe you plugged something in the wrong way round & polarised the mobo or something.

Hope you get sorted - last time I did an RMA it took a few days so no worrys, I reckon you just got unlucky.
