I just don't know what to do, insurance ended almost 6 weeks ago, phone up several times and they supposedly have sent it out 3 times now (first direct), swift cover need it within 4 days now or my policy will go up in price significantly (7 years ncb), first direct are refusing to send it out other than by post and swift cover won't extend deadline. What can I do.

Do you have a renewal document from First Direct? Direct Line told me this morning that my renewal document counts as proof of NCB for my move to Admiral.

I thought insurers could verify NCB on your behalf if you gave them your old policy number? Obviously Swiftcover won't do it!

Get swiftcover to ring first direct and verbally confirm proof of no claims with them, and if they say they won't do it the advisor is telling porkies because they often ring the insurance company I work for to gain the info.

It's probably just they can't be bothered because it takes time and the advisors are targeted on average call length etc.

Admiral rang up previous insurers for me, all they needed was the policy number. If its good enough for other companies . . . !

Last year Swift Cover confirmed my NCB with previous insurer, just asked them to do it for me and they did.

Thanks for the info..

Waiting on the post office sending out the gf's proof document, so I can send it to Swift.

If that fails, I'll get Swift to call them

I didn't even call them, I was lazy and never got it sorted, they emailed me, I replied saying sorry give me a week and they just replied saying don't worry we've done it now for you anyways.
