Not running at correct speed

Hi,
I'm prob being really thick but I can't get my processor to run at the correct speed

What do I need to do to sort it out?

The multiplier is set at 8 in the bios but only seems to be at 6 in cpuz :confused:

EDIT:
I've since found out that it's the speedstep technology, will just turn it off

Disable EIST & C1E in the BIOS.

Go back into the Bios set your multiplier to 9(9x266.7=2400.3).

yes, these are the intel speedstep which reduces your multiplier when the PC goes IDLE, notice when you open a program it will jump back to 2.4ghz..

if your not going to overclock, leave it on
