Hi have just been talking to your support team to try and get a refund or a credit note as always use overclockers as I can't get my 7700k 4.9 pre binned stable and really not happy and he said can't do a refund after 14 days so he said to ask you if we can get this sorted out. Am running my own hand built desk PC with Asus Rog 1X formula 32gb trident gskill 3600 dual channel and two 1tb 960 evos and two 1080ti with a Corsair ax1500i the all water cooled running 4 separate loops and the rest is just over kill. The problem is I am not getting a stable system either running adia64 extreme or non avx or avx version of prime 95 my system is just not stable keep stuttering and won't let me do hardly anything at 4.9ghz and sometimes bsod and other problems runs like a dream at standard clocks but did not pay £398.99 for a standard chip. So can you help resolving this matter please. The settings are as you stated in info when chip purchased and have been pushed the score up to 1.39v and the temps are only pushing 58 to 63 under full load at 4.9 four 5hours benching but it's not stable so cooling not the problem have swapped all the components under RMA from different companies but still no joy please help.

Whats your SA and IO voltages. Be careful screaming its the chip when your memory could be the issue. 3600 x 4 DIMMS is not that easy on a 4 DIMM board.

Force the cache to 41 ratio.

Try memory XMP but 3200mhz........

guessing you set OC and ram XMP then stress tested . some people set CPU OC with default stock ram speed, 2133/2400 hz then do the ram after chip is stable . as above might be a step to far for the cpu with ram- is it 2x 16 sticks or 4 sticks ??

Hopefully 8 pack will have you flying in no time ! :D

Only got two chips dual channel kit and still does the same at non xmp profile for the memory don't use any other settings apart from multiplier sync all cores to 4.9 and started at 1.32v and been working up ever since and don't won't or should not need to go higher the 1.39v that all the setting I use never been am overclockers before so not understanding all of the setting but from what I have read and look at video's for that's all you need to do.

I've tried both kits daul channel and quad channel some people say it does not matter witch and as board and intel say dual channel I don't know what to put in but the results are the same with xmp or with without and it runs like a dream with normal clocks ect.

Its not only those settings that need to be made though.

That CPU was tested at 5.0ghz so for sure it can do 4.9ghz.

Default Bios F5 and then F10 enter.
Back into bios.
Set XMP.
Set All core ratio 49
Set AVX offset 2
Cache Ratio Max set 41.
Memory Speed set initially 3200mhz.
Digi Power set CPU Current cap 140% or 240% cant remember exactly on that board and LLC to level 6.
CPU Voltage set fixed 1.375
IO set 1.20
SA set 1.20
DDR Voltage set 1.45v

Test.

We will exchange the CPU if necessary no problem. This stuttering etc is not CPU issue usually. Its normally mem related.

I found I had to give my dimm voltage a little nudge to 1.365v to make my 7700K (non binned) stable at anything over 4.9ghz
Also the SA & IO voltages had to be bumped a little for the system to be 100% stable.

As for the CPU voltage, I'm at 1.32v for 5ghz delidded & under water. Gaming temps around 50c

Thanks robzere31 for the.heads up will try doing what 8 pack is saying and go from there 5ghz would be amazing but 4.9 was what I paid for. And my cooling is over the top and was only hitting mid 50s under full load from 5 to six hours with a room temp of 30 to 35 as Mrs has heating on! Will let ya know my results after more testing.

We sold literally hundreds of 4.9ghz and 5ghz bin 7700KCPUs and like two back that did not make the frequency and when I tested them both did with some voltage tweaking.

This is not a cooling issue its just a case of tuning the CPU in to your set up.

Yes I brought the five GHz one from you as well for my daughter's rig works like a charm... And is running 5.1 stable with help from singularity computers. Will hope to get this one working with your help so far will get back to you with results. Thanks
