I have a Lian Li PC7 which Ive had for a few years and want to now upgrade my pc. Im interested in a build with an intel core i7 processor and an ATI 5970 graphics card not sure about the rest of the specs yet. Ill probably want to have an SSD or two (OCZ vertex 30GB) to run the OS from. Also looking to use the Corsair HX 850W PSU. Not entirely sure about what cpu cooler to use (air) Ive been out of the pc tech loop for a while :S.

Im looking for something thats quiet since I feel my Lian Li lets out a little too much sound (doesnt help that Im using a Hyper 550W PSU with crappy 80mm rear fan - it was cheap and modular though :D). Any suggestions would be welcome!

Well I was looking for a case over the last week, and read quite a few reviews and saw some videos. It does depend on your taste to the outside really, when it comes down to choosing between the good ones.

I personally prefer sleek, subtle yet solid designs. Not something out of a nerd's wet dream though lol.

I came to the conclusion of the Lancool (sister company owned by Lian Li) DragonLord PC-K62. This is the top version of the series and has good reviews all round.

Here is the video that sold it to me...

It's about £85 ish. Good price for a solid build. Has lots of rubber mounts for HDs and even fans. And add that to the fact it's solid steel which should be a tad more sound resistant to Aluminium yours is made out of (Isn't it?).

Hasn't arrived yet unfortunately so I can't tell if you if it's any good yet!

It's designed for higher spec computer users and can fit 4 dual slot cards apparently. Not that you'd need to, but gives you an idea.

Also it's completely tool-less, and has some really nice features. Even the mobo doesn't require a screw driver because the hole for the screw comes through the board, and is used to easily hold hand screwed screws.

Check the out take at the end of the video by the way ;D

Thanks for the youtube link. I think that video has almost sold me on the lancool! The fact that lancool is a sister company of Lian Li helps too!

No worries. I'd love to comment on what they're like but I had to order from somewhere else and after 2 days it hasn't arrived. I'm sure they'd like to blame it on the snow but it hasn't even been picked from the warehouse yet. Which means the 3rd day tomorrow will be the last day of the delivery quote. Hopefully I'll get some dollar back off them :D
