Was out on Windermere with the Lake Wardens the other night, The local air cadets were getting a ride out in the boat, as staff I got to tag along.
It's a R.I.B. without the I. The inflatable bits are replaced with solid composite pontoon cavity thingys.
Has one big turbo diesel and a water jet. Shifts a lot faster than 10mph. It can do all sorts of acrobatics too, like spinning on the spot, moving sideways...
But the party piece is how it stops, flat out, into reverse, and the bow goes underwater, stops on a dime, but gets everyone inside wet.
They have standard R.I.B. too, with a V8, slightly faster, but none of the lunatic stuff.
