Hey guys, I'm about to start upgrading parts of my pc and im looking at getting a better heat sink (among other things) the one that im looking at is the Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler, my question is will it fit in my case and on my board without hindering anything else, mostly the ram because its a pretty big piece of kit. my tower is a "NZXT Phantom Enthusiast USB3.0 Full Tower Case" and my mother board is a "Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX". A lot of you are probably thinking that i should just measure out everything and see for myself but recently ive had a few problems with my pc and have had to send it back to the good folks at overclockers to get it sorted out therefor i cant see for myself. any help on this (or if it doesnt fit an alternative option) would be massively appreciated and would allow me to start looking out another option if this one wouldnt fit.

The CPU cooler with fans is 171m, according to Google your case has a clearance of 170 it may fit in with a little push.
Also memory with large heat sinks will be a problem.

note picture 2 with the cooler upside down they mount the fans flush with the top of the cooler... 160mm (as long as the fans clear the cpu mounts)

Heatsink Dimensions without Fan 134 x 140 x 160mm (LxWxH)
Heatsink Dimensions with Dual Fans 159 x 140 x 171mm (LxWxH)

I would say it will fit, but maybe a small mod may be required.

I had to fit a hyper 212 into the works pc, too tall for the case we chose, so I removed 3 fins and cut the top of the heatpipes with a dremel... fits like a glove now

thanks for the replies, I'll look for another option for now till i get my pc back. Not sure it would be such a good idea for me to take a power tool to anything like that. I'll make sure to take my memory into account as well when im looking. Thanks again.
