Can you colour code certain elements on your mobo to match your case/fan/cables etc.

I currently have a P6T V2 on which everything seems to be a different colour!
In particular the sata ports are red, the top pcie slot is blue. I dunno it just, bugs me :D

Also would black/yellow or maybe black/white look better? Ive got a 800d which is nicely black inside so really want to just have 2 colours.

Any thoughts aprecciated

Thanks.

Ofc you can, and many people do. Just get a different mobo :p.

It's gotten better with every iteration, but now you can get mobos for pretty much every colour combo. Between X58 and SB, you have pure black, black + blue, black + red, black + green or orange, khaki shades, etc. A wet dream if you're OCD about your colours!

i've seen people use UV paint so when you got a lighting kit in your case it shows the colour of the paint not the colour of the mobo etc

If you dont mind defacing stuff, you can permanent marker things into black :) That's what i've done for some exposed cables and some white molexes. Cant imagine why it wouldnt work on a sata port :)
