Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a M11x which I got a while back which is getting out of date due to the fact I built it wrong :( anyways We have allot of LAN parties with mates and my friends take their computers which I don’t really want to do.

I don’t want to go back to alienware but I want a new laptop which plays games pretty well. The games we play are the following (but would like it to play decent games as well)

LoL
Dota 2
WoW
Might and Magic

I would like it to play newer games for times when I won’t be at my Main Computer so any help or suggestions would be great.

I also don’t want to pay £££'s for it Finance options I can consider.

I've not really looked but dell do some nice XPS laptops? Check the Dell Outlet store for a good deal, they do refurbs for really cheap. Mate bought one and his came brand new in the box (or seemingly) with a next day business collection warranty.

Thats great, but I always seem to get the wrong kind of build for it. If any1 has suggestions or some tips that would be great :)

It doenst have to be a beast just play games well such as the ones metioned but still get good fps out of some newer games

Really need a budget but I'd say anything less then £500 won't get you a good enough GPU.

You need to be looking at a 540M with 1GB min, the Dell 17R SE can be had for around £600 if you shop around maybe £700 and thats got a 640M which is good for many games..

You then move into the £1000 range, and you can get a Clevo for this, base model with a 7970M - which will not struggle with anything current.

£1200 gets you a Samsung 700G but thats only got a 6970M - still very good, but the laptop has a lot of extras...

Personally a gaming laptop is about the screen and GPU, get these two sorted and you can always upgrade the HD and memory later...

for example, buy a base clevo (if you can get past the looks as its not that nice to look at) for £1000 with a 500GB HD and 4GB of memory, but get a 17.3 screen and 7970M and you'll be set for a nice upgrade to SSD, MSATA and HD with more memory if needed later on...

Well I am looking at 500-700 budget. Well I wouldnt say incorrectly - I was new to gaming and computers and this was around 2 years ago, so I wasnt clued up on things.

It has a duel core processor and I think the graphics card is abit rubbish. It was more of a base model than anything else.
